Workshop Descriptions
PART 1
An Alexander Introduction, with Genessee Spridco
1-3 pm CST
This exploration covers some tools from the Alexander Technique that can benefit all movers. Students will partake in exercises that introduce them to the following:
- Noticing... and balancing our noticing
- What is Balance?
- Directional Use and the Primary Control
PART 2
Alexander in Stage Combat, with Dave Gonzalez
(Intermediate, weapon TBD)
3:30-5:30 pm CST
Please Note: Students must take part 1 or have foundational knowledge of the Alexander Technique. In this workshop, students will begin to apply the tools from Part 1 to stage combat performance. More information is coming soon.

FIGHT LABS
Fight Lab is a three-hour guided exploration of stage combat topics and principles, taught by OGMA staff and guest artists. A lab is comprised of 2-3 workshops sandwiched between a warm up and cool down. Everyone is a student at Fight Lab! Come on out, train with us and connect with the community. |
